Scout Camp & Muscles

Cruz is off to his first scout camp today. He is really excited! I can't believe he is old enough to go to things by himself. It makes me sad. But on the flip side, I get the day to myself!!
Kalin has been going to the gym every morning at 6 a.m. to lift weights. He is trying to "bulk up" for football. I think he has a long way to go! For not being a morning person, (I wonder where he gets that from) he has gotten up and gone for two whole weeks! That is quite an accomplishment!

Who wouldn't be proud?

Who wouldn't be proud if there husband brought home this??? I guess it is another thing to add to our dead animal room!
We spent the rest of the weekend in the beautiful mountains. We did a lot of hiking and riding motorcycles.
Cruz got a little too daring and almost had an accident!
This is some of the beautiful scenery we saw. You'll notice Kalin is not in any pictures that are close to the edge of a cliff. That is because he is very afraid of heights! Too bad just a little of that did not rub off on Cruz.

Memorial Day Weekend

Even the rain couldn't keep us away from our all-time favorite camping spot! We had a great weekend and even brought home a little trophy!
Here is Kalin batting in our annual wiffle ball game. He hit 2 home runs.
We had an awesome horse shoe tournament. I have my game face on! (too bad it didn't help!) Goerge was my partner and we went 0 - 2 barbecue!Cruz found a new hobby - whittling. He had a great time making knives and playing in the mud with Joey. We can't wait to go camping again!

Field Day!

Jayme and Cruz had field day yesterday at school. Jayme was the main attraction at the dunk tank! Who wouldn't love t0 dunk their principal???
Cruz got some sweet air on the giant slide. He said he is really going to miss 3rd grade because it has been such a good year.

One more week to go!!!!!

We had a great weekend at the cabin! We haven't been up there since last year and it was just what we needed after a loooong winter. The weather was really nice. The kids played in the stream, we rode the four wheeler, and went on hikes. I sat on the deck and read and got sun burned. Cruz had a great time playing with Gabby, Brooke, and Maya.
Cruz had a "celebration of the arts" day at school yesterday. He did a great job performing! By the way, Happy Birthday Jayme and Tyson!!!!!!
