What a week!

We have had a crazy week at the Leyba house! Jayme is in Portland at a conference. Kalin is at Mesa State at a basketball camp. He gets home this afternoon but has to leave right away to go to a baseball tournament in Helper for the weekend. And Cruz has an allstar tournament in Price. He lost his game yesterday but he did really good. He looked like a little Derek Jeter at shortstop! He was turning double plays, making diving stops, and yes, I am a very proud mother! We also have the famous Vernal all night softball tournament this weekend. So I guess we will sleep next week. See you soon Fun Haters!!

We got a new toy this weekend! How much fun is this going to be?

Week of the Long Ball

We have had a great baseball week! On Tuesday, Cruz hit an inside-the-park homerun. His team beat the A's 18 - 3. On Thursday, Kalin hit his very first over the fence homerun! He has been trying to do this for sooooo long. It was the first pitch of the game and he went yard. I guess all that weight lifting is paying off!

Scout Camp & Muscles

Cruz is off to his first scout camp today. He is really excited! I can't believe he is old enough to go to things by himself. It makes me sad. But on the flip side, I get the day to myself!!
Kalin has been going to the gym every morning at 6 a.m. to lift weights. He is trying to "bulk up" for football. I think he has a long way to go! For not being a morning person, (I wonder where he gets that from) he has gotten up and gone for two whole weeks! That is quite an accomplishment!

Who wouldn't be proud if there husband brought home this??? I guess it is another thing to add to our dead animal room!
We spent the rest of the weekend in the beautiful mountains. We did a lot of hiking and riding motorcycles.
Cruz got a little too daring and almost had an accident!
This is some of the beautiful scenery we saw. You'll notice Kalin is not in any pictures that are close to the edge of a cliff. That is because he is very afraid of heights! Too bad just a little of that did not rub off on Cruz.
